I have fun posting random thoughts and feelings that I have here. As you can see, they tend to vary widely. I also hope that lots of people post comments, because it makes me happy to know that someone's visited my page and has left something of themselves behind. Okay, that kinda sounds creepy, like I collect souls or something. Maybe the transit people are getting to me. But really, this page's just a place where I let whatever stresses me out, amuses me, or interests me come out.
Third year kinesiology student at U of A. I love sports, and I'm hoping to do my first triathalon and half marathon at the beginning of this next coming spring. Eventually, I plan to complete at least one iron man. Until then, I'll be happily riding my bicycle around the planet.
Haha, they're not really that warm at all. Just a windbreaker, really. Have to wear layers underneath. So, I'm excited about starting safewalk. Except training today was brutal. They did in 7 hours what they could have done in maybe 2. And I was sad, because it wasn't like orientation where you have tons and tons of fun. Maybe I'm just bitter kuz I haven't had more than an hour to myself all weekend, and I have a ton of work to do. But overall, it was a good time, and I know I'm going to have a blast! And I love so many of the volunteers already. I wish I had started in my first year, I feel like I'm "far behind" everyone else. It would be so cool to be your TF!! We would have a super blast! I wonder if I should do science, phys ed, or presenting TFing?
Don't worry, Jeanine! It's never too late to join Safewalk :)By the time I get back, I'm sure you'll be one Safewalks best volunteers yet!
And yeah... Safewalk training was kind of tedious. It's not like we memorize the 10 codes anyhow. The Jackets are warm sometimes- mostly when it is warm enough to go without a jacket.
